no response from pop3

I'm attempting to add Hotmail (I have a paid account) to Outlook but keep
running into the same problem. The incoming mail server(POP3) is holding me
up. After running the test I keep getting these 2 respones:
1. The specified server was found but no response from the server. Please
verify the SSL is correct.
2. Outlook could not connect to the incoming mail server (POP3).

I have mail.hotmail.com listed. Is this correct?

I also have it set up as a HTTP, I can view my Hotmail from Outlook however
I can not send emails.

Hotmail does not use a POP account. You need to choose the HTTP account
type.

Hotmail paid version is still HTTP mail, not POP3 mail. Directions:
