no Remote wonder remote control

i have the ati all in wonder 9700 pro. not bad except it now refuses to
recognize the remote control.
i use 2 see the icon on the desktop but no more. its a xp problem but where
do i begin? ati is no hlp when i ask the answer is always re-install which
doesnt do squat..

So how do i now get xp pro to recognize any x-10 sftware or at least my
remote wonder (when it is recognized it should be an icon in the task bar).
undrr the usb ports it does show the remote wonder.
Damn Ati nightmare...
any help is appreciated...

Do you get any errors while re-installing the remote wonder drivers?
If you do take a look at this:
http://www.enigmavision.com/FAQ/default.htm. If you click on
"start->ATI Multimedia Center->ATI Remote Wonder" does that bring back
the ATI Remote Wonder Icon in the taskbar? Do other USB devices work
on your system?
