No recent files - PPT 2010

PPT doesn't remember my last opened files. My other programs do remember.
I use CCleaner on my system regularly (on Win7-64), but it doesn't seem to
impact other software. Any thoughts?

Does it impact this software? It should be easy to test...

Have you checked that the number of recent documents is not set to 0?

I can't find where to change that setting. I finally found where the
options where. I'm struggling to get used to the ribbons. The interactive
tool that MS offers only drills into one level ... it's not useful enough
for me to make the transition, so I spend a lot of time looking for stuff.
Thanks.

Supplemental.
I found the location of the number of recent documents. It's set to 25.
Something else is a-miss.
Thanks.

Oops ... I do use them ... am I in trouble!!! oh-oh. It makes the system
work a little faster 'some' times. obviously it's not perfect.
I can't find "repair" ... do I have to uninstall, reinstall ... to fix these
types of things, so that ... perhaps the registry entries will be remedied
.... perhaps beyond that. I realize you qualified that others might know
more. Perhaps another will see that or you know the answer.
