No option to "Remember my password"

I'm using XP Pro and I can successfully create a drive
mapping to an NT server share in a separate domain.
However, in the username/password dialog box I am not
presented with teh "Remember my password" option. Without
this option each time I reboot my drive mapping doesn't
automatically re-establish. I also tried the "Manage my
network password" feature but that didn't work. I entered
in my \\domain\server the same as when I created the
drive mapping, but no luck.

Can someone shed some light on this problem?

You want to use the network password management
feature in the account - evidently you need to tweak
around on how you specify the match criteria.
I usually provide only the domain info, not the
specific sharing server, and I do this with a DNS
(ex. *.win.domain.com) setting rather than a NetBIOS
one (ex \\domain )
