Good day.

Purchaps someone can help. I have installed a Windows 2000
server and SP4.
I have Active Directory and abt 12 users setup. I am
currently trying to create a new user (install a new pc on
the network) and guess what happens.... I can't.....

Either i cannot browse the network and "see" the other
users online... or it keeps telling me i do not have the
rights to do so (believe me i do have them since i am
the administrator).

Please try to give a hint on what is going on...!!!

Thanking you in advance

P.S All Pcs are Windows XP Pro and updated to the latest SP

I think the Idea is to use the Active Directory to "Browse". I feel your
pain.

Make sure that you're only using your internal DNS server that AD is storing
it's info in, in your machine's (DCs and client machines) IP properties
only. If you have an ISP's in there, this can cause many errors, one of
which what you're experiencing. If you need Internet resolution, use a
forwarder in your DNS server.
