No more new fonts can be applied to this Workbook

I have read the previous responses on this issue. However my workbook will
not let me turn off the autofont feature. I may have gone to far. I
currently have around 90 charts in this workbook. I saw the answer about
code. I am not sure how to use that. I need assistance. I have been
working on this workbook for over a month. I have 28 charts to go and keep
getting that message. I have looked at the web article also. I need a
little more help. Can someone help me with another solution or tell me how
to type the code to fix this error, or would autofix font work, if so where
is that?
Thanks

See http://support.microsoft.com/?id=215573. Look at Method 2 for
step-by-step instructions as to how to enter a macro and the code to enter.

I've been involved with a couple of other threads on here regarding this
error. It looks like I was finally able to get things straightened out, but
I fear it was only by luck.

What I did was save my file as a webpage and then revert the webpage back
into Excel. I also played around with the code mentioned in the Microsoft
support article, but found it to only work intermittently (i.e. sometimes the
macro would run and not switch AutoScale off). I opened the file up to dink
around some more, but found myself able to manually change the font size and
type for an unknown reason.

I would start by saving it as a web page and then reverting it into Excel,
though. If anything had an effect, that did. Be sure to save a copy of your
original file.

For more information on my experience, check out the thread entitled
"Turning Autoscale Doesn't Work..."

Sorry if this isn't much help.

THANK YOU so much for help...I got it to a Web Page, can't seem to get it
back to excel? Tried Save As, that does not work. Any Suggestions?
Thanks

Hmmm.

I understand that you now have a .htm file.

I'd open Excel, open the .htm file (go to File-->Open), then click Save As,
and then use the drop down menu at the bottom of the "Open" window to change
the file type to excel workbook format and then click Save. Using different
filenames for the original, the web page, and then the excel-from-webpage
version may help keep things straight.

The webpage may be popping up in an internet browser or some sort of HTML
editor (e.g., Notepad) if you just double-click on it from its directory or a
shortcut, so starting up Excel first and opening the file from Excel may
rectify the problem and let you save it as a workbook again.

Thank you for your help!

I could not use the Save As, sorry if I did not make that clear. What I
ended up having to do is "edit in excel" to get the sheet to go back to excel
and out of Web. I had to do this several times to complete my
project...HOWEVER, mission accomplished. Thank you for your help, Its nice
to have someone to go to.
