no more FavIcons displayed!

Hi,

I used to have favicons displayed in my favorites.
Now for all those URLs that used to have a favicon I see an icon that I
don't know of. All others have the standard Internet symbol icon.
I used FavOrg to get them and store them apart and assign them to the URLs
automatically.

Now have "upgraded" to SP2 via new install ( could not simply use the update
: locked), and favicons no more !
- They are still there in the FavOrg folder
- If I manually assign an icon to an URL either in properties of that URL or
in FavOrg it works.

Hence only problem seems to be that FavOrg can no more autoassign them .
Any idea why ?

Not big a problem, but I like these icons, because it's nice and mostly
because it helps locate URL so much.

TIA

I do not use FavOrg, so I cannot test this here. You may want to check
their web site for if there is a problem with the SP2 and/or if a
newer version of the software is available.
An alternative program that can organize favorite icons as well is
DeadLink (http://aignes.com/products.htm).

Check with the program. Once you get it sorted:

Navigate to the Temporary Internet Files, and drag the icons to the desktop
and rename them to whatever name you like.

Create a folder called Icon Selection. Move all of the renamed favicons to
this folder placed in the root directory of C. Right click on the Icon,
select Browse and navigate to your Icon Selection folder. Choose the
renamed favicon and click ok. These icons will be permanent.

When you right click on an icon, select browse and navigate to the Icon
Selection folder. Choose the renamed favicon you want and click ok. Your
customized icons will be permanent.
