no IE history

Rocco

Since upgrading to IE 6 I cannot access the history. When
I click on the history button, only a gray box opens up
with no options except a close box(x).

If I try to change the temporary internet file memory size
it tells me to pick a value between 1 and 0. I cannot do
this either.

IE 6 is also operating noticeably slower than IE 5, even
when going "back" to previously viewed pages.

I have Norton anti virus which has no Active X blocking.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled IE 6 several times to
no avail.

I am running Windows 98

Please help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Rocco,

It could be due to a variety of causes. Take a look at the following:

History folder does not contain web pages

If you are using McAfee AV, the Active X feature has the ability to produce
history problems. It is recommended to disable Active X and see if that
resolves the problem. Lastly, the history folder may have become corrupted.
You can create a new folder and see if this resolves it.
