no DVI signal

I installed a nVidia GeForce FX 5500 128 MB AGP card in my Sony VAIO
PCV-RX650 so that i could have a DVI out to my new Sceptre X9G-Komodo II LCD
monitor. I do not get a signal out of the DVI port, but the VGA port works.
I have gone to nVidias web sight and downloaded the latest version of their
driver and also Sceptres driver. HELP??

Is there a setup utility or window that will enable you to switch this on or
off and control any properties? Check the user guide.

I'm surprised that such an old PC can manage the functionality of the AGP
card as Sony's specs list the AGP as supporting 4X only: whereas the nVidia
GeForce FX 5500 is 8X AGP.

You should perhaps research your user guide to see what affect, if any, this
will have on the performance and functionality of the Card.
