No DVD Audio

[strapless]

The computer works perfectly well in every other way, nothing shows up
in device manager. The DVDs I've
tested play well in other machines. Maybe it's a software conflict.
Installed are:
WMP 11
An older version of Power DVD
Quicktime
Realplayer
And an Audigy Platinum Soundblaster with software.
It makes all the Windows moans, grunts and exclamations, and you can
listen to any fmusic files all day,
but nothing at all from the DVD.
It's got an internal DVD-RW via a SATA connection and an internal DVD-
ROM on the IDE.

Have you set "Enable digital CD audio"? R-click it in Device manager and
navigate to Properties, Properties.
