"No disc in drive " message.

When I put a DVD+R disc in my drive I get a "no disc in
drive" message come up, It does not do this when I use a
CD-R disc. Can anyone help me on this?

Is your DVD R a + or - or both. I had that problem when I purchased my HP
DVD+RW, I also bought DVD-RW disc's only to find out it only Records +
disc's.
