No DIalUp or VPN support

Greetings,

A while back I had to re-install XP Home edition on my
laptop. Now when I try so create a new network connection,
after selecting "Connect to the network at my workplace",
both Dial-up connection and VPN connection are dimmed, and
disabled. My ethernet card works fine, because I am
connected to the internet. It just won't let me set up any
new connections.

I would really appreciate any help or advice you can offer.

This is the usual cause...

You Cannot Create a Network Connection After You Restore Windows XP

Fix is to re-apply SP1.
