when i make a change at design time and i run my project the changes are not
visible.
I think i changed a setting.

Why than not test it with a very simple design time change.

In first statement of the load event of your first form

messagebox.show("This should be a popup")

Just an idea.

if you get a compile error - and click 'continue' - the version before the
changes will be run.
did you have 'build errors' ? if so - correct them.
