no cd burner found issue.

I can play cds on my cdrw drive but whenever I try to
burn any cds it gives me msgs like "D drive not
accesible". And if I try a diff program it gives me a GRI
error "SCSI error: no SCSI host adapter found".How can I
fix this .I have an IDE cd r/rw 4*4*24 drive.Thanks in
advance .Also thanks Carey for the earlier reply about 2
windows xp installed on my computer.I tried it and it
helped ,but everytime I reboot it tells me that I have a
special boot and wether I want to do a normal boot.I have
said no sofar , am I doing OK ?.Thanks again.

Rt click on MyComputer>Select Properties>Hardware>Device Manager. Go to
DvD/Cdrom Drives and click on the + sign. Rt click on your Cdrw drive and
choose Uninstall-Yes. Let WinXP reinstall it. Also, if you are using EZ CD
