My Bios is setup correctly and I installed the correct
drivers for the OfficeJet T45. I Checked the Enable PnP
Legacy Detection. The Check box for Enabling Bi-
Directional communication is NOT active. How can I make
this check box active? Thank you In advance.

In regular computer bios make sure it is set for ecp/
(something) it uses an interupt and a dma interupt. Then
you should probably remove the port from windows and
reboot. Let windows redetect and reinstall the port. Then
look and see if it shows as an ecp port. Has to be that or
its non- bi. Then make sure you have the right kind of
printer cable for bi also.
