No BackUp on CD

P

Paul Black

Hi Everybody,

I bought a New Computer ( made by Tiny ) in 2001 when XP Home Edition
first came out. I read that you could install the BackUp Utility from
the CD-ROM. Unfortunately my CD-ROM had no such Utility.
I also at that time bought XP Professional for Students because it had
Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
Does XP actually have an Internal BackUp Utility as I cannot find it.
I would really like to be able to BackUp my files, especially with
everything I have been reading about XP Service Pack 2. I don't really
want to Download it unless I know I have Secured my Data.

Thanks in Advance
Paul

Yes you can but not all companies provide the full XP CDROM unless you
ask for it.
I also at that time bought XP Professional for Students because it had
Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.

Windows XP Pro and Office XP Pro are two entirely different products,
Office may have been bundled.
Does XP actually have an Internal BackUp Utility as I cannot find it.
Yes XP Home and XP Pro has it buts its not installed by default.
I would really like to be able to BackUp my files, especially with

There are better backup programs out there than NTBackup. Get a
magazine such as PC Plus which has Free Backup programs included
PC Plus 221 has Ace Backup 2004.
