NMI:Parity check/memory parity error

I am receiving the following error message when I shutdown.

(On blue screen of death)

***HARDWARE MALFUNCTION
Call your hardware vendor for support.

NMI: Parity check / memory parity error

*** The system has halted.

Can anyone tell me the possible cause and more importantly, the fix
for this error?

Please reply to (e-mail address removed) as I may not be able to find
