NK2 file

I have a laptop user that has his NK2 file 'emptied ' every time he powers
off the unit. The size is over 200k and is one day old. This is a Winxp
machine with office 2003 and an exchange 2003 server. Any suggestions?
Thank you.

Everytime the user powers off and then restarts his laptop, the auto complete
does not until he starts sending email again. There are no saved addresses
in the nk2 file until he sends something .

But does the file size change?
Outlook stops writing to the NK2 file frequently. It's a very fragile
feature.
The free way to fix it (until it breaks again) is to create a new Outlook
profile from scratch.
Or you can use a third party utility to repair it and recover your existing
data:
