NK2/ Autosave

Let me first start off by saying that I am pretty illiterate in regards to
outlook so I'd appreciate it if any help provided can be dumbed down as much
as possible. With that being said, I'm sure this question has been asked an I
apologize for the redundancy.

My boss's computer was recently unexpectedly unplugged and after her outlook
was never quite the same. She depends on the autosave of all contacts. She
does not save the e-mail addresses in her contacts, just types a letter and
goes through all the saved e-mail addresses that come up. After the computer
was unplugged this no longer happens. We were able to fix outlook so that new
contacts do save but is there any way to retrieve the old contacts? I'm not
sure if this makes any sense but any help, worded as simply as possible,
would be greatly appreciated.

This indicates that there's a disconnect between the mail profile and the
autocompletion cache (the NK2 file). You may be able to correct it by
creating a new mail profile and then renaming the NK2 file to match the new
profile's name.

It is unwise in the extreme to rely solely on the autocompletion cache as
the means of retaining addresses.
