next silde shows behind the previous slide as it moves off the way

how do I make the next slide my back growned of the previous slide.
as one slide moves off the way you see the next slide behind it, rather then
a white screen I would like to see the next slide there.

Hi Mercury

Have a play with the different transition types to see which you like - I
think a fade is probably what you are after, but there are others to select
from. Slide show -> slide transitions.

If that doesn't do what you want then let us know a little more - e.g. your
version, how you inserted the backgrounds of your slides (on the master?)
and anything else you think may help.
