newsletter merging with e-mail addresses in excel

I have produced a newsletter in WORD 07 and I only want to merge the letter
to the emails in the excel file. I have done so although the file size is
large. 970 kb. what is the most effient file to send a one page newsletter?
Sending to approx 800 people?

In almost all cases, when you convert the file to .pdf, its size will be
dramatically reduced, especially if you select the Smallest File Size
option. You could then send it out as an attachment to an email merge.
