News menu option is missing...

I was dragging the menu from the customize -> command option when it
released a little too soon, I somehow placed it on the top menu bar but it
didn't work so I then reset the menu option (a button in the customize
section) and its gone forever. What did I do

I have done the exact same thing and I am at a loss as well. Did you ever
