Newbie: Video quality

I trying to record my movies from a JVC DV camera to a DVD. I want to be
able to get them as high quality as possible. When I capture and playback
the video looks fine. But, when I use Nero Vision Express 3 to burn the DVD
the video looks grainy and the frame jitters. What is the way to get the
best video quality from tape to DVD for archival and viewing purposes?

capture as a dv-avi file, retain this until you go into nero to make the
disc. If you have a choice of bitrates to use in nero then pick max 8,000k,
or if it's quality driven then a max of 60 mins per dvd should give good
quality. The other option is to buy some really good encoding software.
