Newbie: Messages with no subject

So, a pet peeve of mine is when people send an email with no subject. I tried
to create a rule saying if the subject is blank/null, and it didn't work so
well, it wouldn't accept "" (for blank/null) as subject. Is there a way to do
this as a rule?

I'm wondering if there is something I could code in VBA (I'm sure there is)
where it will run (like a rule) and if the subject is blank/null it would
send (reply-all) a nice little email saying your email has not been read and
has been deleted, if your message is important please resubmit your email
with a proper subject header.

Is this possible? Or will I always have to was the few seconds of my life
hitting ctrl-q, ctrl-d (sending no reply at all)?

Why not just press Delete and get it over with? Chances of anyone responding positively to such a nag are slim to none.

Beware of doing this -- a lot of spam (probably 10-15% of what I get) has
a blank header, and by replying to it, you'll just be telling spammers
your email address is valid..

(also, reply-all is really not the way to go -- if A sends a blank
message to B, C, D, E, you, then B,C,D,E will not appreciate getting a
message from you telling A off, unless your goal is to publically shame A
or something).

well, this is true, I'd still like to minimize my involvement in it... most
of these emails are biz requests... but I have to prioritize the requests, no
subject, no priority...

I guess I'll stick with the ctrl-d.
