I am trying to create a simple numbered list. 1 thru 1700
with 3 columns of blank cells. I am planning to print
this list and then someone will hand write in the blank
cells. I want to name the columns, so that at the top of
each page the column names will be there. I need the row
numbers to print also, as well as the cell borders.
Just so you get the idea, this list will be used at a
convention where people are assigned a registration number
1-1700. As each person comes in to get handouts, we want
to check off which items they picked up. Each column
represents a different item.
I have tried going into the page setup and
selecting "print row and column headings" but that prints
the A, B, C, etc. I want the column headings to be text
names and print on every sheet.
If someone could please help me figure this out, I would
appreciate it.

Hi
try the following
- in cell A2 enter a 1 and in A3 a 2
- select both cells and drag them down for your 1.700 rows
- in B1:D1 enter your column headings
- goto 'File - Page Setup - sheet' and select row 1 as repeating row
- apply a format for these columns (e.g. column width, etc.)
- now you can print this worksheet

Frank,
Thanks a lot. I got it. It took me a minute to figure
out how to drag (from the corner), but then it was a
snap. No more headache!
