So, I have a Canon Elura 100 Mini DV that I am attempting to load with MM. I
have a 4-6 firewire cable connected to my Dell PC. I have several gb of open
hard drive space. MM recognizes the camera. When I press record, the camera
starts playing and the first frame of the movie appears. Then, everything on
the PC just stops. Task manager shows two MM tasks - both not responding.
It's nearly impossible to get an 'End Task' response. In the worst instance,
I had to unplug the PC because nothing I did would shut it down. Basically,
pressing record is about the same as selecting "crash system." Ideas?
