New Windows Update software

[Interesting: No newsgroup for Windows Update. (And
these folks sure push us to use Passport; no direct help
unless one has a passport.]

I started Windows Update to see if the new service pack
was available. I was invited to install the new Windows
Update software. Got this message:

[Error number: 0x800700C1]
Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot
display the requested page. You may find the following
resources helpful in resolving the problem:

Can't find any "resource" that helps. Anyone have any
ideas?
