Hi, i'm wondering if anybody could help.
I'm using xp home service pack 2, internet explorer 6.0.
When i try to open a new window (eg from a link) nothing
happens. I have followed the stages in microsoft article
281679 where they recommend to try the following: run:
regsvr32 urlmon.dll followed by shdocvw.ddll, msjava.dll,
Actxprxy.dll, Oleaut.dll, Mshtml.dll. Browseui.dll and
Shell.dll. All of these were succesfull. They also
recommend checking the registry and this is fine. Internet
explorer is now part of the operating system and so can't
be uninstalled! Does anybody know how do resolve this?
Much appreciated. ps i have also run spybot/shredder and
other removal tools to no avail. I also have the latest
antivirus software.
