New Window freezes <Please Help>

OS: Windows Me
IE: 6, SP1

Okay for the past month or more .I've been having a problem with my
computer. Everytime I get on the internet if I right-click on a link to open
in a new window or if i just click on some type of link that automatically
opens into a new window or java script window the window opens but does not
load. The window's backgound is whatever was on the window on the screen
..For example, when I am on Yahoo homepage and I right click on something to
open in a new window the window opens but the images and text from the Yahoo
webpage is on this new window background and the hourglass stays on the
screen to say as if the window is not loading and no matter how long it
stays up the window never loads. I have to press "Stop" then "Go" in order
for the page that I want to load and I can't do that on all new windows such
as the java script ones.

Here are the solutions that I have already tried that did not help:
1. Click [Start] [Run] type:
(Press Enter after each command)
Regsvr32 /i URLMON.DLL
Regsvr32 /i shdocvw.dll
Regsvr32 oleaut32.dll
Regsvr32 actxprxy.dll

2. Restart Windows
3. Open IE [Tools] [Internet Options] [Programs] [Reset Web Settings]

-------------------- OR ------------------------

If this does not help, run this fix:
http://mvps.org/sramesh2k/utils/IEFix.exe

-------------------- OR ------------------------

Manual procedure: (Microsoft Knowledge article link)
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=281679

I have already tried all of those and the problem exsists. Also I've checked
my computer for viruses and there were known present.

So if you have any other solutions then the problems listed above please
contact me at (e-mail address removed) .

Thank You

You might want to reinstall IE6. Before you do that,
download another browser from download.com. There is a
great one called SlimBrowser, it's superior to IE. Then
you need to change the registry value by using regedit
(Start, Run, type in regedit, click OK) Then locate the
following site

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software, Microsoft, Installed
Components, 44BBA848-CC51-11CF-AAFA-00AA00B6015C

Click on IsInstalled click on Edit , then Modify and
change the value to 0
Download IE6 SP1 at this site
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/ie6s
p1/default.asp
Reboot the machine.
