NEW USER-PROJECT MANAGEMENT HELP

I am currently using Excel to keep track of numerous projects and variables
for a growing branch. Would Access be a better fit for this? If so, how do I
start? I have been reading up and making small tables but I need a larger
database. Any help would be appreciated.

It very well might be a good idea to move to Access. Just bear in mind that
Access is emphatically NOT "Excel on steroids" - bigger tables is one minor
difference, but the entire logical structure of a relational database is
different from that of a spreadsheet.
