New SATA drive install issues

I recently installed a new SATA dvd/RX drive on my PC. The system recognizes
the SATA drive as an IDE drive, and does not recognize the two optical drives
I have on the IDE cable. I'm running AWARD BIOS on a GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3
mobo and WINDOWS XP /SP2.

was it OEM? did it come with a CD? What SATA version? Errors in event
veiwer? Yellow question marks in device manager? Please supply some details.

It is a Plextor PX 810-SA, SATA-150. There were no errors in the event viewer. The new drive appears in the device manager, but the other two, a Plexwriter52/24/52A CD/RW and a Memorex DVD ROM don't appear at all. They are both IDE.
