' New' message typing does not appear

When replying to messages I have received, all is normal. However, when I
want to create a "New" message communicating to a new contact, the typing in
the Message main body does not appear, i.e. I type but nothing appears.

Have you checked to make sure that your font isn't the same colour as your
background? Are you using stationery at all?

Check the font color.

Ask here, get an answer here. Never post a real mail address in a newsgroup

Thanks for your suggestion. I did go to Format font. When I checked, It was
set to Auto, which should be black. So I clicked on Black instead of Auto and
it seems to be working. I have to do this every time I write for some reason.
It it continues to work manually, you have solved my problem. Thanks a lot.

Nope. With a real newsreader (not the web insterface you're using), there's
a _chance_ of deleting the message, but even that is slim.
