"New Meeting Request to Contact" issue..

Hello all,

I am having an issue with the "New Meeting Request to
Contact" process under the Actions menu on a custom
Contact form in Outlook 2003 (with Exchange Server 2003).
We have created custom contact and appointment forms and
other users (including myself) are currently using them
out of a shared user account called Test. I have it set
up so that when new items are created in either the
Calendar or Contacts folders in the Test account, the
correct custom form is used as appropriate. However,
while in an item which uses the custom contact form, if I
select the "New Meeting Request to Contact" option from
the Actions menu, the default Appointment form appears
instead of the custom Appointment form I have created.

I have read that it may be necessary to replace the
default form with the custom form in order to get this
functionality to work. However, I also read that the
registry settings necessary to facilitate the replacement
are not completely compatible with Outlook 2003. Is this
the only way that this will work? Is there another method
or process that someone can recommend? Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

That's the only way. The only incompatibility I know of is with message
forms. Substitution of your appointment work should work OK, but you'll want
to test thoroughly, of course.
