new mail goes to unread mail, not inbox

Outlook 2003? It's actually going to both - the Unread folder is a virtual
folder that 'sees' mail that is unread and displays them in the folder so
you can use rules to move mail but also easily find new, unread messages.

Diane,
Thanks for your response, but the problem is my inbox shows no mail for
today, but when I click on Unread Mail, there are 15 emails received this
morning. It's not showing up in my inbox at all. This started on Tuesday,
so I have no mail in my inbox from today, yesterday, or Tuesday. Last msg
showing in my inbox was received late Monday.

Does the Unread mail folder say what folder they are in? (click on Arrange
by above the message list and choose Folder to group messages by folder)

If it says Inbox, then a view is hiding them. Click on Arrange by and choose
Date. If you still can't see them, right click on the toolbar area and
choose Advanced. What view is listed in the Current View selector? Select
Messages - if you still can't see the messages, click on Arrange By again
and choose Custom, then Reset.

If it says another folder, then a Rule is moving them - go to Tools, Rules
Wizard and figure out the errant rule.

Diane,
Thanks. Not really sure what I did, but I did click on Arrange By and
clicked on Show Views in Navagation Pane and clicked on Show in Groups (which
unchecked it, then clicked again to show in groups) and everything for those
past days appeared in the inbox. Not sure what the problem was, but it's
working now.
