New IE 6 Annoyance

Recently, it seems like Microsoft has released a patch for Internet Explorer
6 that now places a border around any Macromedia Flash movies on websites
and, I think, on anything related to Java and/or Active X (although I am not
sure of this). It's a real annoyance for me (especially when visiting
Flash-based websites), because I have to actually click once on the Flash
movie to USE it (whether it's navigating around the Flash movie, entering
text in the Flash movie, etc.). To me, this new border around the Flash
movie seems REALLY unnecessary, and I'd love to get rid of it. Does anyone
have a solution or this same frustration? Why did Microsoft implement this???

No, I think this is only an Internet Explorer issue. I do have FireFox as
well, and sometimes I just use that browser to get away from having to click
so many times.

There is a problem with FireFox, though. There isn't a working ActiveX
plug-in/extension for this browser yet. I work at a technical college, and I
put courses online for our school system. Within our CMS (Course Management
System), there is something called a Visual Editor (similar to that of
http://www.fckeditor.com). The Visual Editor that I use at work isn't real
compatible with FireFox (unless you want to hard code web pages). So, I'm
forced to use IE.

In short, this new patch that has been release causes a LOT of extra (and
unnecessary) clicking (in my opinion).
