New Home Network

I am having trouble getting my new home network to run.

I have three computers and a Linksys Cable Gateway.

Computer A is a desktop running XP media and is connected to the gateway via
usb
Computer B is a laptop running XP media and connected to the gateway via
wireless
Computer C is a laptop running XP Pro and connected to the gateway via
wireless

I have run the XP Network Setup Wizard on all three computers

Computer A can see all computers on the network but is unable to access any
of them. I get an error message that tells me I might not have sufficient
authroization.

Computer B sees no computers on the network

Computer C sees only itself on the network

I am unable to ping any other computers from each of the computers

I am very new to this and am having lots of trouble shooting guide. It never
seems to have a question that covers my problem.

Most likely this is firewall related. Check the XP firewalls and/or any
third party security software you are running and see whether they are
blocking ping or file and printer sharing. You should not have the XP
firewall enabled on any machine that is also running a third party firewall.

Did you also run the Wireless Setup Wizard (or its replacement which comes
with the wireless cards)? If not, you are only half done with the setup.

If Doug's advice does not help, I would suspect that you don't really have a
"router" but a modem from your ISP that allows multiple connection types and
each PC is getting a IP address in a different range. From a command prompt
type IPCONFIG /ALL on each PC and compare the IP addresses - they should be
very similar to each other. You may also want to check with your ISP and
see if the device they provided you is really a router or if you're trying
to use it as a router but it is not.
