well, that is an interesting
statement. but i don't
think the reliability is
software based.
instead, i think it is
a combination of things
with emphasis on hardware
and available resources
available to the usb system.
the usb system is unique
because it can provide power
to your usb devices. but
if the usb device requires
more power, then it likely
needs to have an ac/dc adaptor.
if we look at this from
a different perspective,
i think you would find
it reliable if you only
had the windows operating
system installed on the
computer. i mean
"only" windows and
nothing more.
however, i do understand
what you are trying to describe.
maybe there are a couple of
things that can help.
firstly, see if there are
any conflicts with
hardware. you can run
msinfo32 and find any
conflicting devices.
secondly, somewhere at
microsoft.com there is
a somekind of a download
for the usb system. i think
it was designed for laptops
but it seems to work fine
for the desktop as well.
if i recall the criterion is
usb + power
as mentioned it is a unique
download and not widely
distributed. let me know
