New Hardware Alerts

Is there a way to turn off the alerts for when new hardware is connected to
my computer? It is very annoying to get the alert every time, and I have not
been able to figure out how to turn it off!

Start, Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager, right click on
Device, select Properties, Disable.
