I am trying to add a seagate ST3120026A as a second drive
to my system. I install the drive(with the jumpers on
both drives set correctly) and when I bring up windows I
see a message that new hardware is found (disk drive)
after a moment I get the blue screen of death system dump
screen. Here is my config:

What IDE ports are the hard drives
on Mike? (on the motherboard) IDE 1 or 2?

And are both on Primary IDE (1)?

And what IDE ports are the CD's on?

Secondary (IDE 2, Master, Secondary)?

Did you go into BIOS so it automatically
detects the new hard drive? Even tho XP
picks it up?
