New Contacts

I transfered everythig from my old computer(XP) to my new computer(Vista)
using Windows Easy Transfer. Now I have all my old contacts from Outlook
Express. I am having trouble entering data for "New Contacts". Help says
to open "Contacts" which I do by clicking on the little icon on the toolbar
that says "Contacts" Help then says to click on the icon on the toolbar
that says "New Contacts". I cannot find any icon or the words "New
Contacts". The new toolbar only says "Organize" View" & "Burn". I found
ways to work around the problem but I would like to know the easy way. I
make a copy of an existing contact file and rename the file and then delete
the old data and type in the new data. Also, I can go to "file" "new" and
"contacts" and then type in the new data. Do I need to check something to
make an Icon come up automaticly on the tool bar or am I just missing it?
Any help would be appareciated.

Your Contacts folder has apparently switched from it's proper default
template.
Open Contacts
Right-click on a blank area of the right pane, and select "Customize this
folder"
in the pull-down box, select "Contacts"
ok
