New computer and problem with moving pst files

I recently changed computers and set up the new one before I moved the files
from the old one. The "transfer files" program was a disaster for me so I
ended up having to connect the two computers and move the files manually. But
in the meantime I had already used the new computer and set up Outlook so I
could get my email. Now I have two pst files, and can't delete the one that
Outlook set up so I can use the old one. I am able to receive new mail in the
old one by changing the registry, but that doesn't help with using ActiveSync
with my mobile. I don't care if I lose the emails from the last week or so
that are in the "new" pst file. TIA - sheureka

Just designate your old PST file as the default file. Then you can close the
new one after you restart Outlook. You didn't post your version, so I'm sure
you can figure out how to do this on your own.

Well, maybe not so fast. I am getting my email and the calendar and contacts
list are fine. But I can't seem to figure out how to use my address book - if
I want to send an email I have to type in each address individually or go to
the contacts list and send a message from there and add cc's, etc., by typing
them in. How do I fix that? TIA - sheureka
