New BIOS wont boot with second HD or detect floppy

I have updated the BIOS on a hundred pc's with no
problem. Now on my home computer went to update the BIOS
and upon completion and reboot it will not boot with my
second(slave) HD attached as it did before the BIOS
update. If I detach the slave HD it will boot to the
Master HD but will not recognize my Floppy! I have checke
all physical connections and all is good but I cannot
switch to an old BIOS because i can't flash because it
won't detect my floppy! aaarrrrg! I have tried to go into
the new BIOS and make changes but the floppy will not be
detected and if the second HD is attached it won't boot.
How can I roll back the BIOS without a floppy? I am using
a MSI KT3 Ultra Motherboard and the new AMI BIOS was
dated 2003, I just want my old BIOS back and my HD and
Floppy. I will never again use the software that comes
with this. the MSI LIve update, for now on if the BIOS is
working fine I am not gonna mess with it, but how the
hell can I Flash/Change my BIOS to work now with no
floppy? Thanks!

Create a bootable CD and place the backup BIOS (your old BIOS) and the
flash program on it. Switch your BIOS (if you can) to boot from the
CD. That should do it.

If that doesn't work, you'll need to obtain a replacement BIOS chip.

By the way, are you sure you updated with the correct flash BIOS
update for your board? Sounds like you used an incompatible or
incorrect flash update.

Hi,
I have a suggestion
sometimes features on a bios change.
try going into the BIOS and loading the "default settings"
maybe this will bring back the functionality.
it's worth a try, anyway...

Normally the instructions for loading a new BIOS say to clear the
CMOS/BIOS. Did you do that? For further answers you will need to talk to
the folks at MSI. As a sure fix, order a replacement BIOS from them or
send the MB in to be repaired.
