Hi there,
I have recently had trouble with my icons disappearing
from the system tray at startup while the programs are
actually running in the background (e.g. volume,
messenger, etc., and no, it has nothing to do with the
auto-hide feature). After a lot of research and on the
internet and many failed remedies, I found a few posts
from other users with the same problem that recommended to
go to add/remove windows programs and untick the Network
Services box. Funnily enough, this suddenly fixed the
problem and all icons re-appeared and stayed. However, as
I use the network UPnP for my router, I cannot use MSN
Messenger anymore for voice/video. My questions: 1. Is
Microsoft aware of this problem?, 2. Is there a planned
fix for this, as it is really annoying and I need the UPnP
feature?
Thanks for your response
Regards,
Marcel
