Networking

This is off topic, but can anyone point me to a good article about wireless
networking?
I have one wireless router (Linksys) which is downstairs. I want to add a
wireless access point upstairs. I have not dealt too much with this, and
understand that there may be issues with some overlap, channel, band, etc.

I suggest you look at a Linksys 'Range extender" since you are just adding
more "area coverage" to you existing wireless network.

A "Range Expander" is close to the same cost as a new WAP. Why would the
expander be the better choice of a WAP?
