I'm networking a laptop and a desktop through a router like this: My desktop
is connected to a linksys wireless router through ethernet, my laptop is
connected with a Dell PCMCIA Card, and my Internet is a cable modem connected
to the router via ethernet. Both systems run Windows XP pro. I've gotten so
far as the abiltity to connect to the internet on both systems, but I want to
enable remote desktop connection , printer shareing,file shareing, and all
the other things that a network can come in handy for. My desktop recognizes
the laptop, but I can only file share. I can't connect to it, ect. My laptop
doesn't even recognize the desktop. I've run the Network Setup Wizard and
enabled remote desktop connection on both systems. I've shut down the
firewalls and everything.
