Hi

I am trying to network a Win98 machine with a Dell laptop
with Win 2000 Professional Service Pack 1 installed.

Have tried TCP/IP numbers etc but having difficulty with
DNS.DNS is disabled on Win98 and I have no idea how to
configure this on Win 2000.Having major difficulty using
Network Connection Wizard as it has a tendency to lock up
and not respond.

Can anyone provide help or good URLS with How tos
regarding the above please?

Also what is the situation if anyone knows about Service
Pack 2 for WIn 2000 Professional? Is it free ?? I need it
to get Acrobat 6 working!

In my opinion you should update to service pack 4. I've never had any
problems with this service pack on my network...and it includes several
critical security fixes. Updates are free from the microsoft windows update
site.

You need to grant your windows 98 computer access to the
windows 2000 computer through your control panel. Set up
a user name, and set the password. its best to make
pass...blank.
