Networking Win 95 and Windows 2000 thru a hub

I am trying to connect a Windows 95 system to a windows
2000 system thru a hub. I need to network these 2
computers so that I may map a drive on the 2000 systems to
load some additional software on the 95 system. I have
created them in the same work group. The 2000 system does
not see the 95 system on the network.

Have you assigned suitable IP's to both boxes?

If I remember correctly, the NETBUEI protocol is required to communicate
with a Win95 box. Try setting up that protocol on both.

Not necessary, IIRC. TCP/IP should work fine.

I always had to install NetBEUI.

Haven't used Win95 in a million years, but it really shouldn't be necessary.
NetBEUI won't kill you if you have a small network, but I like to keep
things simple.
