Networking Win 2000 machines

Hello,

I am trying to network two computers. Both have WIn 2000
and are connected through a router. One of the computers
is a laptop (notebook) and connects through a Linksys
wireless router.

I can't figure out why the computer's can't be networked
properly. The tower machine has a firewall. Could the
firewall be preventing the labtop from accessing it??

Both can can connect to the internet but not to each
other's machine.

If is for a home based user.

Please HELP!!!

Can you clarify this? Is this router a Wireless Router with a built in
hub/switch? I'm guessing this is the case.

It's a possibility - try turning it off! Can you ping each pc?
