Networking problem with Windows XP and Windows 98

I am trying to set up a home network with a laptop that is running Windows XP
and a desktop that is running 98. I have run the Network Setup Wizard on the
laptop and can see the desktop computer... but I can't see the laptop from
the desktop.

I know there is a step I didn't complete, I didn't run the Network Setup
Wizard on the desktop(windows98) because I can't create a Setup Disk because
my laptop has no floppy drive. Also the laptop (Dell Inspiron) didn't come
with an XP disk

Any suggestions.

Make sure that a firewall (Norton, McAfee, PC-cillin, Sygate,
ZoneAlarm, etc) on the laptop isn't blocking access. Note that recent
versions of some antivirus programs (e.g. Norton Antivirus 2005) have
firewall functions built in.

You can copy the Network Setup Wizard's executable file to a CD or a
USB flash drive and run it on the Windows 98 computer:

C:\Windows\System32\Netsetup.exe

Copying the C:\Windows\System32\Netsetup.exe file to a CD and running it on
the desktop did the trick.
Thanks
