Networking - Please help

Guest

Hi,

I am trying to set up a network. I followed the same instructions to set-up
4 PCs and it works on 3 of them but in one it does not work. All computers
are running Winsows XP.
In the computers that are networked, when I go to my Network Places I can
see the PC that I am having problems with but when I click on it, I can not
acess its shared document folder or anything for that matter. I have the
Guest account turned on in all computers.
In the problem PC I can see the Network name but when I click on the network
I get the following error;
"Office (that is the netwok name) is not acesible. You might not have
permission to use that network resource. Contact the administrator of this
server to find oout if you have access permissions.
The list of servers for this workgroup is not currrently available."

Any ideas?

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, or other security component. There are several
other possibilities too, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read this

Are the computers running XP Home or Pro? If Pro, is Simple File Sharing
enabled?

If you like, look at "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", "net config server",
and "net config workstation", from 3 computers, and diagnose the problem. Read
this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions precisely (download
browstat!):
